Eligibilty

In order to vote for your chosen candidate, you must:

• Be a current student at the University of Westminster
• Be an existing member of the Westminster Film Society

How to Vote

During the voting period, you will be able to vote in all groups that you are a member of. You will receive a fast-track email with a link that will allow you to vote in all the elections of student groups you have purchased membership from. This link will be sent to your student email address.

KEY DATES

The nominations period will start from Monday 20^th April, and end on Thursday 30^th April. 

The election period will open from Monday 4^th May and will close at 11.59pm on Thursday 7^th May.  All new committees will be official from Friday 8^th May. 

FAQs

What happens to the old committee?

The old committee will cease to be in their roles on July 31^st 2020. From May until that date, they will provide some assistance and training to effectively handover the society and make sure that the new committee is ready to take on developing the new programmes for next academic year!

So I’ve been elected. What happens next?

Once all of the elections have been completed, your relevant student group coordinator will reach out to you with the relevant documents and training that your group need to complete. You will have until the end of June to complete this, but the sooner the better!

Please make sure you keep an eye on your inbox; any group that does not have a fully elected new committee and constitution may not be allowed to continue into next year. 

You will also need to ensure that you are available for training in September.
